Approach

A disciplined path from qualification to execution.

Every stage has to clear before the next one starts. That is what makes an early conversation useful rather than expensive.

The process

Six stages, in order.

  1. 1

    Qualify

Initial project fit: technology, customer, market, scale, stage, economics, and strategic fit. Most opportunities are resolved one way or the other at this stage, quickly.

  2. 2

    Underwrite

Confirm the diligence required to assess credit, economics, contracts, incentives, technical feasibility, and execution risk — and name what is still unknown.

  3. 3

    Structure

Define the ownership, financing, contractual, and commercial framework, including how risk is allocated between the parties who can actually carry it.

  4. 4

    Approve & Close

Advance approved projects through documentation, capital commitments, counterparties, and closing requirements.

  5. 5

    Execute

Coordinate the project through implementation and major delivery milestones, against the budget, schedule, and decision rights set at closing.

  6. 6

    Own, Operate, or Monetize

Execute the approved long-term ownership, operation, sale, or other monetization strategy.

Screening criteria, underwriting thresholds, and internal approval requirements are not published. What a specific project requires is confirmed through diligence.

About

Development discipline. Capital fluency. Execution focus.

80° West Partners is built to connect project origination with the financing, ownership, and execution decisions that determine whether an infrastructure opportunity becomes an operating asset.

80° West Partners is an energy infrastructure development and capital platform focused on solar PV, battery storage, energy efficiency, water efficiency, and integrated projects.

The company can participate from origination and development through financing, execution, project ownership, and monetization — taking the role each project needs rather than a fixed one.

Where a project is better served by a joint venture, a customer purchase, or a sale to a third party, that is the recommendation. The structure follows the project.
